Services
Drilling and Blasting
Drill-and-blast for quarries, mine development, road cuts, utility trenches, and tank and building foundations. We design the shot, drill it, and load it, with controlled blasting for work near homes, roads, and utilities. Hand-drilled boulder and remote-site blasting where a rig can't reach.
Rockfall Mitigation
Rock scaling, draped and pinned mesh, rockfall fences and debris barriers, rock bolts, and rock anchors. Our crews work on rope, from crane baskets, and with helicopter support on highway cuts, canyon walls, and slopes where a rig can't get close.
Geo-Stabilization
Temporary and permanent earth retention: soil nail walls, ground anchors and tiebacks, soldier pile and lagging, shotcrete, micropiles, driven piles, and caissons. Design/build available, with PE-sealed shoring submittals for UDOT, municipal, and private work.

Uinta Specialties is a geotechnical contractor based in Sandy, Utah, working across Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho. Our team brings 30 years of drilling, blasting, shoring, and rockfall experience to every job, from UDOT highway projects and water tank sites to subdivisions and backcountry slopes. We self-perform our work, offer design/build, and you deal directly with the people running your job.
